Client: Locker & Riley
Evolving an established platform with smarter integrations.

Background
Locker & Riley came to us with an established Craft CMS website and a growing list of ideas for how it could better support their customers, sales team and wider business.
Rather than starting again, our role was to take ownership of the existing platform, understand how it worked, and gradually make it more useful, connected and capable.
The Brief
Locker & Riley creates architectural plasterwork for projects around the world, working with designers, architects and specifiers who often need to explore products, collect references and order samples long before a project reaches its final specification.
Their website was already an important part of that process. The opportunity was to make it do more.
We took over the ongoing development of their Craft CMS platform, initially getting to know the existing codebase and infrastructure before beginning a wider programme of improvements.
That has grown into an ongoing partnership spanning CRM integrations, customer tracking, account functionality and bespoke tools designed around how Locker & Riley's customers actually work.
The Approach
Connecting the website with the wider customer journey
One of our first focuses was improving the connection between the website and Locker & Riley's CRM.
We built integrations that allow activity on the website to feed into the systems used by their team, reducing the gap between what a customer does online and what the business knows about them.
Alongside that, we improved tracking around key interactions, particularly product and resource downloads. Instead of those actions disappearing into standard website analytics, Locker & Riley can build a clearer picture of what individual customers are interested in and how they're engaging with the catalogue.
For a business where a download today can become part of a much larger architectural project months later, that context matters.
The Solution
Turning customer accounts into a working project space
We expanded the existing customer dashboard into something much more useful than a traditional website account.
Customers can create their own projects and save products and inspiration against them, creating a workspace for the different schemes they're considering. It's part wishlist, part project library: a simple way to organise products around the way architects and designers are already working.
For Locker & Riley, it creates a more useful relationship between customer accounts and the product catalogue. For customers, it means the website becomes somewhere they can return to throughout a project rather than starting their search again each time.
Making samples part of the same experience
We also designed and developed a bespoke sample ordering module, allowing customers to select and purchase samples directly through the website.
Rather than forcing an off-the-shelf ecommerce model onto a very specific process, we built the functionality around how Locker & Riley actually handles samples and how their customers expect to request them.
The result sits naturally alongside the wider product experience, giving customers a straightforward route from discovering a product, to saving it to a project, to getting a physical sample in their hands.
